ERP and order management modernization

ERP modernization

We build web apps around the workflows your team runs every day and keep the data in sync with your ERP, so your teams are more efficient and more profitable.

Every engagement starts with a fixed-price diagnosis, from two weeks and $15,000.

When the daily work moves out of the ERP, fewer people need an ERP seat, which lowers your licence costs. Accounting still gets every record, in the same system as before.

Workflows built for the job

Screens shaped around how each team works, from the sales desk entering an order to the warehouse picking it, not around how the ERP stores the data.

Data that stays in sync

Every change your team makes in the new apps writes back to the ERP, so accounting and every other team work from the same records.

Vendor deadlines, handled

Vendors keep ending support for on-prem systems and forcing a migration decision. We give you a fixed timeline and a fixed price, not a panic migration under deadline.

Two ways in

Overlay or replatform.

The path gets decided during Discovery, based on the system’s architecture, how reachable its data is, the vendor’s lifecycle, and where the business is headed. The recommendation fits the system, not our pipeline.

Overlay

New screens on top of the system you keep

When the underlying stack still runs the business reliably but the interface is killing your team, we build modern, role-based screens on top of it. The system of record stays.

Replatform

A rebuild on modern infrastructure

When the legacy stack can’t be salvaged, or the vendor is forcing the move, we rebuild on modern infrastructure with the same milestone pricing and guarantee as a custom build.

How it works

How we’d work with you

Some legacy systems can be saved. Others have to be replaced. We figure out which, then we build it. Every engagement starts with a fixed-price diagnosis before you commit to the work.

Why Gnar?

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions?

Will you replace my system?

Only if that’s genuinely the right call. Often it isn’t. If the underlying system still runs the business reliably and the real problem is the interface, an experience layer on top delivers most of the value at a fraction of the cost and risk of a full replacement.

What does modernization mean here, overlay or replatform?

Both. An overlay builds a modern, role-based experience on top of your existing system of record, which stays in place. A replatform rebuilds the system on modern infrastructure when the old stack can’t be saved. We decide which fits your system during a fixed-price Discovery, based on the architecture, the data, and your vendor’s lifecycle.

What makes The Gnar different from other software partners?

Three things. AI-Native delivery, so the same scope ships faster and at a lower price. A 100% US-based senior team with a founder in every engagement. And the industry’s only triple guarantee: fixed price, guaranteed outcome, and a 12-month bug-free warranty. Most agencies offer none of the three.

Have you done this before?

Yes. Ten years and 100+ projects across operational software, including modernization work live in production today. Our senior US team has already solved the hard problems here: integrating with legacy systems, synchronizing data, and building role-based interfaces on top of systems that can’t be taken offline.

Can The Gnar integrate with my existing software and APIs?

Yes. The Gnar builds integrations with your existing systems, third-party APIs, and SaaS tools.

Can you integrate AI into our existing systems?

Absolutely. Whether it’s legacy software, third-party tools, or internal platforms, we specialize in building smart integrations that extend functionality without breaking what already works.

My vendor is ending support or forcing a migration. How soon should we start?

Sooner than the deadline suggests. Discovery takes 4 to 8 weeks and implementation runs several months, so starting well before the cutoff lets you modernize on your terms instead of under pressure. The systems forcing these decisions vary, but the clean approach is the same: plan early, build in phases.

How long does it typically take to build software?

It depends on scope, but AI-Native delivery compresses the timeline. Work that takes a traditional shop six months often ships in three to four with us. We give you a milestone plan with real dates before the build starts.

How is this priced?

Discovery is a fixed price with clear deliverables. Implementation runs on fixed milestones under the full triple guarantee: the price holds, the outcome is guaranteed, and the build carries a 12-month bug-free warranty.

Why pay for Discovery instead of getting a quote?

A quote without discovery is a guess, and guesses are how modernizations run over budget. Discovery produces a real implementation plan and a price we can guarantee. As one client put it after the fact, “I wish we would have spent more time in discovery and requirements mapping up front.”

What is the triple guarantee, and what does it cover?

Three commitments on every build engagement: a fixed milestone price, a guaranteed outcome (the software works as specified or we fix it), and a 12-month bug-free warranty. It covers the projects we run. It does not cover staff augmentation, because in that case we are reinforcing your team rather than running the project.

What does the 12-month warranty cover?

For a full year after delivery, we repair any non-conforming code at no charge. The warranty covers code that doesn’t work as specified. Feature additions and ongoing operational support are handled separately through our monthly support retainer.

Who will be on my team?

A small team of senior US-based engineers and a product manager, covering web development, mobile development, and UI/UX design in-house. No offshore teams, no junior developers staffed on after a senior pitch.

What happens after launch? Are we locked in?

The codebase is yours, in your repository, documented for hand-off. The 12-month warranty obligates us to fix non-conforming code, independent of any ongoing contract. Our monthly support retainer is available for clients who want it and is never a requirement.
